Fifth Third is a U.S. based banking service located at the
Fifth Third Center
in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is the principal subsidiary of Fifth Third Bancorp, a diversified bank holding company. It operates 1,136 branches and 2,469 automated teller machines across the Midwest United States.
The name Fifth Third derives from the merger of Third National Bank and Fifth National Bank. I want to incorporate the idea of a merger into the logo by creating the simplified shapes of a 5 and 3 with a split in the middle representing a fraction sign.
